FEW TIPS FROM THE WAX LOUNGE BEFORE YOU COME TO VISIT US

Etiquette

Please arrive for your treatment clean and refreshed. We have intimate refreshing wipes that we are happy to hand if you are coming straight from work.

Are you waxing your chest or back?

Please bring a spare clean T-Shirt along with you to change into after your wax appointment.

How long does the hair need to be?

The hair should be No shorter than a grain of rice or 1 centimetre to ensure maximum results. If you are having extreme waxing, the longer the hair the more painful it will be so you can trim before your appointment. If you have been shaving, you need a minimum of 3 weeks growth to get the best result. When the hair is too short, it is advisable not to carry out the treatment as it will be a waste of your money.

How long will the result last?

Everyone is different. In most cases, you will see minimal regrowth during the first three weeks with a noticeable increase after that but continued waxing encourages slower, sparser regrowth.

How often should I be waxed?

Every 6 to 8 weeks.

Waxing can cause skin to be tender as the follicles will be open. A slight redness is normal and on occasion raised follicles might occur but this will be short lived so don’t panic but if there is anything you feel is not normal, show it to your specialist and get some expert advice to be on the safe side. To minimise any post wax discomfort, please pay special attention within the first 24 to 48 hours as the skin might be prone to infections.

After your first treatment, you might notice some regrowth after a short time but after a few treatments you will notice that the intervals will get longer. Keep going for regular appointments to ensure the best results not only for your skin but also for your own comfort.

We recommend great products range from us as part of your treatment routine to help with hair reduction and also great for ingrown hairs. In general you should try to keep the area clean and avoid heat or friction during the first 24-48 hours.
